Many times the only thing standing between ourselves and our dreams are the limitations we put upon ourselves. I love Ford Motors Founder Henry Ford’s famous quote “Whether you think you can or you think you can’t, you’re right.” I think it is one of the most simplest analogies to explain the concept of how powerful your beliefs are. He seemed to understand the concept of what you think, is what comes true. You have the option to choose the thoughts you think and believe. Those beliefs shape your future.
Since we can manifest our reality from our thoughts and feelings, why not choose to believe in yourself and your dreams? It starts with our thoughts first. I know there are many things that stall us from the direction of our dreams and intentions for our lives. Some are excuses, some are lack of belief, and most are the doubts that we allow in. We always in any given moment have the option to feed our fears or step towards our dreams. If you are waiting for the perfect moment, the perfect opportunity, or perfect circumstances to line up before you move, you will very likely continue waiting.
The most powerful and creative you can be as a human being is when you set your intentions and dreams first. You do not need to know how the whole journey will go, nor will you have a game plan that will unfold as your ego plans. It is helpful to set goals for yourself and research some means to get to there, but we often get ahead of the first step. Which is your mindset. Once you know how you would like your life to feel and the dreams you aim to reach for, you will then have plenty of opportunities to use some structure if you please.
I have found what often stops us from even believing that our dreams are possible, is mentally making a doubt list in our head of all the things that could go wrong, and all the reasons we can’t. Often in society we are taught this is practical and logical thinking, and really it sets us up for failure. When we adopt negative doubts and beliefs, we set our sails for those outcomes.
The coolest thing to me is that you can set your sails, intentions, and beliefs towards anything you’d like. You have a far greater chance of success over planting doubtful seeds. It is important to train your mind towards possibilities more often than worrying about why it may not work. It is not always easy to reprogram our habits to turn on a dime, but we can get better with practice. I think understanding the concept of how your beliefs work with your brain, you have more motivation to be more powerfully creative with your thoughts and beliefs.
I encourage you to start with yourself. Say yes to your passions and dreams. If it feels safer until you get a better handle on your personal beliefs, keep them to yourself. It is one thing to conquer your own doubts, but can be very disempowering to give more momentum by adding the doubts of others. I’ve learned through the years when I’ve shared my goals or dreams, at times I have received doubtful responses from others. And the key to remember is when someone tells you that you can not do something, it is really them saying I don’t know how to do that. You do not have to accept their doubts and fears as your own. If you want to be a painter, know you can be a painter. Take a class, and call yourself a painter. The journey doesn’t matter as much as setting the intention. The road will unfold before you as you move in the direction of your intention. And if your mind starts doubting your passions, stop and be gentle with yourself and ask if it’s really true. Beliefs are just thoughts you keep thinking. So you can make a habit of thinking with less doubt and more optimism. You have the choice to change your thoughts anytime.
Use your thoughts to your advantage. Remove your limits and live the life only you can imagine.

Do you have a little time each day that you spend on yourself? A distraction from the busyness or stresses in life? We are very connected to our technology and media outside of our daily schedules and responsibilities. It takes very little effort to create some space for your mind to utilize it’s rest and imagination. When you take a little time in the mornings, a break in the day, or winding down for the day, you can connect deeper with yourself and experience more calmness. This can lead to more of ease with yourself and your family. The more ease you experience with your self spills out onto those around you.
It helps to look at it as peaceful time you need for yourself and less of a chore. At first new habits can seem a bit daunting when you see what little time you may set aside for yourself, but it can also highlight the drastic need for a bit more self time. If you think about your cars, homes, and things you own, Most people wouldn’t think twice about the maintenance of their cars and homes to make them last and work more efficiently. But I’m always surprised when working with clients the guilt people put upon themselves for taking more time and care of themselves. Just like our things, we can run more efficiently and smooth when we regularly deposit into ourselves.
I’m sure that is a logical enough of a reason, but a question I’m often asked is how can you actually apply it to a busy life. Is it possible to balance it all. I believe you can, but may take some rearranging or repriortizing a bit.
A bit of creative scheduling. Small steps are a good starting point when it seems impossible to create more time for yourself. It is a commitment to yourself and may require a bit more organizing of your time.
This can really help organize and set boundaries not only for the new space you are designating to yourself, but it will also help create boundaries for not giving more of your time to the tasks scheduled.
For example, let’s say you have blocked a certain amount of time going into a daily routine such as dinner, clean up, or even a tv show at the end of the day. Could you set a specific amount of time to the tasks, and walk away even if could use a little more time? I think we could all continue any one task, but then we get nothing else done.
I’ve found at times I have had to say no to things I want to do, because I don’t have enough time to do it all. So I have to prioritize the most important things and then trickle down. I actually get so much more done by doing this little exercise. I have not only the time I set aside for my writing and hobbies, but I also haven’t neglected my work, family, and home responsibilities. I may not have got everything done, but I have done as much as I can productively do in a day. I find often, I have put things on my list that are either unrealistic or not as important as my brain would like to tell me “I needed to get done”. A common game I find we play with ourselves. We plan on doing more for ourselves when “we have the time” that never seems to reveal itself. So you really have to schedule that appointment of time with yourself.
Think of it like a doctor apt. You will arrange your schedule around someone’s else’s, perhaps you could treat your own time as important. It can definitely be worth the investment when it gives you more peace and clarity on a daily basis. I’ve often found it also helpful to reward yourself along the way. When you can accomplish much on your daily list along with time for yourself, you will begin to see the possibilities of your goals.
The fun part is you get to start paying attention to the things you enjoy or have always wanted to do. Perhaps it’s a bit more art, reading, writing, cooking, learning a new skill, or even something as small as coloring for 20 min. The time set aside does not need to be a huge gap. Just 30 minutes to an hour. Whatever works best for you. Since the time passes with the daily chores anyway, consider penciling yourself in too. I encourage you to try it for a month. See what changes. Start a journal of the process. Notice your happiness level on the days that you are able to spend the time doing more of what brings you joy, peace, or clarity.
I like to focus my blogs on being positive and how to increase your vibration to align yourself to receive more joy in your life. With that being said, it is not to deny that we all have bad days. I loose my footing and have mishaps just like anyone else. There are days that feel like nothing goes right and the momentum spirals from there. I think everyone can relate to those times.
My proposal is for you to become more aware of ways to shift the momentum and understand the power of your focus. We are going to have contrasting moments in life and notice energy that does not jive well with us. You can learn not to dwell too much in those circumstances. When you worry or think for long periods of time on subjects that upset your peace, you give more energy to those unpleasing circumstances. The objective is to recognize what we can learn or receive from that situation, and then use the power of our thoughts, focus, and feelings to redirect the energy into a more positive outcome or experience.
Think of it like going to a restaurant and there is a large variety of foods to choose from. There will be foods you like and foods you may not like. Just because the food you do not like is on the menu does not mean you have to order it and eat it. And there are going to be people who will choose the items from the menu that you do not like. You can focus more on what works for you and allow others to figure out what is appealing to them. You can spend your time ranting about how the menu should be changed or you can use your energy to allow the differences in what the menu has to offer. Now let’s apply that menu metaphor to the world.
When you focus less on the perspective that is unpleasing to you, you have an opportunity to focus on a more joyful perspective. You may also have limited options within the circumstances, but you always have the ability to choose your response to them. Give yourself permission to pick the perspective from the menu of life that you enjoy. Since we are creative beings with our energy, I believe you have the power to focus your energy into more good days than bad. So when you hit a snag or bad day, remember you can shift some momentum by focusing on your joy.
It can be very easy to notice each other’s flaws and weaknesses. What if we got into a better habit and pointed out the good we can see or find in each other? Most of us are already aware of our flaws. And I know personally I do work on my weaknesses, but I certainly can not say that I present myself perfectly. I think we are doing the best we can.
Think about how it makes feel when you are criticized. It isn’t a very empowering feeling and sometimes can feel hurtful. I think about the effect and impression I can make upon people. A beautiful quote by Maya Angelou that often pops into my Head is that “People will forget what you said. People will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.” With that said, perhaps we could focus less on the improvements we think they should make and concentrate more on how we treat them.
You can give someone helpful advice and be kind along with it. If you can be more mindful when approaching someone or in conversation with someone, you can cultivate a habit of encouraging another. People tend to respond and light up when you uplift them. There is an old saying I remember being told when I was growing up that you can attract more flies with honey than vinegar. I’ve found that to be true with humans through the years.
When we give positive energy to each other, we are opening ourselves to receiving more kindness ourselves. All situations can be approached with a kind heart and kind words. When we criticize we are giving out lower energies and revealing our emotions. Emotions are energy in motion. I love how the late Dr. Wayne Dyer explained that when you squeeze an orange, orange juice comes out. He used the analogy to ask the question, “If you were squeezed, what would come out of you?”
I encourage you to practice more of pointing out the good in others and see how they respond to you. And watch how the universe responds to your vibrations. Notice how you feel when you support and motivate another. We often listen to respond when the person talking just really wants to be heard. Often people aren’t asking for advice, but an ear to allow them to work through or express their emotions.
Energize yourself by pointing out the good qualities in yourself and others. Imagine how our world would be if we all gave a little more kindness with each other. You can learn to treat yourself and others the way you want to be treated. Be the first to lay down your sword. See how it can improve your relationships and interactions. We have the power to encourage each other and bring better energy to our world.
Your thoughts, feelings, and beliefs affect your reality. They are connected to the universe and all that surrounds you. The way I understand this concept is to acknowledge the law of vibration. And the way I understand this law is that Everything in our universe broken down and analyzed consists of energy or light. That energy (or vibration) exists as a frequency.
According to Dr. Emoto’s water experiment: The power of our thoughts existance.com/water-experiment/, Our thoughts, feelings, and actions have their own rates of vibration. High density objects have a lower speed of vibration. And Low density objects have a higher speed of vibration. Feelings; like objects have also been measured similarly. For example: Fear, worry, and stress, vibrate at a low frequency. Peace, calm, and feelings of love vibrate at a higher frequency.
Thought is where everything begins. Wherever your thoughts habitually dwell, the conscious mind embeds into your subconscious mind. That in turn becomes your dominant vibration. That vibration attracts similar vibrations into your life. You may have heard the term like attracts like. Your feelings at the present moment dictate your vibrations and in turn what freqeuncy you are emanating.
Using this understanding, we can consciously be more aware of where we are consistently vibrating. When we are aware of our thoughts and feelings, we can adjust our frequency and vibrations. Many of us have been unaware of how we are unconsciously and subconsciously creating.
It may take a little practice to become more aware of, and get better control of, your own thoughts and feelings. Over time you can improve the direction of your life. A good example of this is animals. Did you realize they respond to the frequency you are emanating? If you are fearful, they respond accordingly. I’ve seen some animals act aggressively towards a fearful person. And of course if you are calm, relaxed, and gentle, they receive that vibration from you. It is a bit like gaining their trust with your frequency.
So basically everything around you responds to the frequencies and vibrations that you give out.
Since you affect your reality, the next recognition is how you are vibrating. What are you thinking and feeling? This will help direct and guide you to the frequency you are vibrating. Are you allowing more positive vibrations (that operate on higher density frequencies) to come to you, or Are you allowing more fear, worry, or negativie vibration (that vibrates at a lower density frequencies) to come to you.
Your Thoughts, Feelings, and Beliefs affect your reality. I encourage you to pay attention and vibrate high my friends! Allow more positivity and kindness in your life. Fine tune your frequencies and get ready for attraction.
You are a bit of an architect of your life, and you can design your life by adjusting the direction of your thoughts. You have the capacity to foster thoughts and feelings into existence. By retraining your brain, you can create what you crave for in your life.
Your daily habits can reprogram your subconscious mind or (auto pilot). Science and brain research has shown that we often operate from our subconscious minds. Though we have the power to operate from our conscious, we have to be fully present in each moment. Being mindful of your feelings and thoughts will help you recenter your direction. If you like what you’re observing frequently, you’re doing well. If you would like improvement in your life and vision, You can change the perception of the way you look at things. When you place your emphasis on the best in the situation, you have the leverage to change things for better.
By choosing to refocus your thoughts, overtime you have the ability to change your receptive mode. This mode (or momentum) tunes your vibration (or frequency) to attract your intentions. For example, if you desire to feel secure, train your thoughts to things and situations that feel secure. If you would like to be more happy, then you would want to focus on happy thoughts, memories, and visualizations. And the cool thing is you can use the power of past, present, or future in your focus. For example, you utilize the past by remembering happy events. You can utilize the present by focusing on what is presently making you happy, and you also can utilize the future by envisioning happy events. The center of attention can be anything from health, love, peace, abundance, freedom, to your desired intention.
We are setting up the brain to vibrate the frequency of what you seek (crave). As you create the feeling of what you crave now, you adjust your radar for attracting similar experiences. The more often you can vibrate as if you already have it, You then set your compass to attract circumstances, people, and events to match that frequency. You receive more of the same! You are cultivating habits of thought towards your premeditated design. And yes, I used the term premeditated in a positive manner. The dictionary describes premeditation as a deliberate intent, the planning or plotting of something before doing. Instead of thoughts of harm or murder, we are using this definition for zest in life! Same definition, but the aim is towards more favorable circumstances in your life.
One of my favorite authors Dr. Wayne Dyer said, “If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at will change.” A wonderful reminder that we can choose our perceptions and shift the momentum of energy in our lives towards our aspirations.
Engage daily on the thoughts and feelings that support your intentions. The more you practice, the more you will operate from the positive set point.. By consciously focusing, you reprogram the subconscious to be gifted with what you seek.
The thoughts you think and words you speak create your experiences. I believe this is one of our greatest powers and potentials. To acknowledge this capability gives you the opportunity to shape your life towards what you want more of. Whether the desire is for better health, love, finances, self improvement, spirituality, or happiness, you are the navigator of your life experience.
Our thoughts and emotions are vibrational energy. Everything vibrates at some speed. Everything that appears solid is a summation of vibration and energy. From the things we see, to nature, us, and even our thoughts all vibrate frequency and energy.
Quantum physics has proved that even though matter appears solid, when you look at it through high powered microscopes, it breaks down into immeasurable energy. One of my favorite physicist and inventors Nikola Tesla stated, “If you want to find the secrets of the universe think in terms of energy, frequency, and vibration”. He often harnessed the power of his brain and thoughts to create, discover, and invent some of the greatest discoveries of all time. He appeared to understand this process enough to leave behind a legacy of inventions and ideas.
What we download into our subconscious becomes the vibration and frequency we operate from. What is important to know for navigation in life is the awareness of what you are vibrating. Are you living and experiencing what you want? Are you receiving the experiences of your desires? The helpful tip is to know more of how to align and vibrate towards what you intend.
I like to focus in small applicable ways that you can implement in your life. When you wake up, Do you set the intention for your day? Do you choose to be happy? Or do you wake up and start your day in habits and actions without much thinking? Are you present in those moments, or moving through the actions for completion? A good step is first to be aware of your current point of attraction, then you can be more deliberate in how you align with your thoughts and create your day. To intend or unite with more positive thoughts help you to vibrate in a higher frequency. The more positive your thinking becomes regularly, you will vibrate a frequency that attracts more positive experiences and circumstances in your life.
If you are very negative and complain frequently, you set your energy and point of attraction to a vibrational frequency that attracts those experiences. More worry, and stress breeds more worry and stress. Again, whether it be more positive or negative, you receive more of the same frequency your vibrating. The choice is yours. Every day. And you can shift it bit by bit every day by paying attention and choosing your frequency. Understand and believe in your power. Shape your life into a life you love by using your thoughts and words to vibrate that frequency. You are the author of your story and captain of your ship.
Have you heard the term “You get what you think about whether you want it or not”? I’ve heard it referred to by many teachers through the years, I can’t even quote who originally said it. But I have found it to be very true whether I like it or not.
So If this continues to prove true, it really makes a difference to focus on the direction you intend your life to flow. If you want to be happy, the key really is to focus on the things you already have. The more gratitude you practice, it’s as if you are saying to the universe, “Thank you and more, please.” When you complain and focus on what is missing, you do receive more of what is missing. Regardless of your job and circumstances. I’ve known people in the the same profession, but opposite ends of income. You can be successful at any career, but the intention and energy you set forth, will be your results.
So how are you thinking? Watch your language with people when you talk about what you currently do. Are you optimistic? Even if you aren’t currently doing what you want to, it helps to know that to move in the direction of your dreams, you may need to change your language and attitude in the current circumstances.
The power behind your intentions and feelings actually bring better circumstances over time. So if you are in a job that you really don’t like, you may need to improve your perspective.
When you can come from the place of optimism of where you currently are, you become more open and allowing of what you want to flow in. Opportunities show up when we are team players in the universe. Being grateful in your current circumstances does attract brighter paths. If you can focus on all the positive aspects of where you are rather than focus on what is lacking, the next step and people show up at the perfect time.
If you are a bit unsatisfied with some current circumstances, the way to turn them into more positive experiences is to keep looking on the bright side or positive aspects. Complaining and continuing to discuss the things that are wrong and not working, brings more of those experiences to you. So you can use the power of your brain with the world. You may need some creativity in your thinking to find the positive aspects, but they are there. You can make a list and journal them. You can speak as if the things you want are on the way. You can create a vision board, or simply set the intentions for change.
Any of the ways that resonate to you is not as big of a point as being more cautious in the perspective you currently have. The main point is that if you get what you think about whether you want it or not gives us some clue as to how we attract what we’d like. Since we can’t control people, jobs, and circumstances, you DO have the power to control your attention. Every day and in each moment we have a choice on how we mentally focus. Think more about what you want. Think about what makes you happy. Focus on what you have. The time spent thinking in this direction is not a waste of time. It is using the universe and energy to your advantage. We are not helpless creatures of the world. We are creative wonderful human beings.
I encourage you to be creative and enjoy your thoughts more. Dream big, and give your mind permission to believe anything is possible. IF you get what you think about whether you like it or not, you might as well get more of what you’d like.
I remember reading a Native American Cherokee Indian story where the grandfather is teaching his grandson about life. He describes about a fight going on inside between two wolves. One an angry wolf full of sorrow, greed, self pity, arrogance, and ego. The other being good that is full of joy, peace, love, kindness and hope. It was a conversation between grandfather and grandson. The grandfather explains that the fight is not only inside the grandson, but within each and every person. After the Have you heard the term “you get what you think about whether you want it or not”? I’ve heard it referred to by many teachers though the years, I can’t even quote who originally said it. IF you get what you think about whether you like it or not, you might as well get more of what you’d like. ponders the scenario, he asks which wolf wins? And the grandfather replies, whichever one you feed.
It has always seemed like a simple and powerful story to me, but until we pay attention to our emotions, this can be easier said than done. I believe the most powerful impact we can make with the internal dialog or “wolf” in each of us, is in our daily interactions. By choosing more positive, kind, and patient responses with ourselves and others, we can feed the wolf that we want more of. To be happy and more kind, is a choice that we make every day. In each moment with ourself and those we come into contact in one shape or form, we have a choice in how we respond.
If you want to know how your doing, look around to see how things are going in your life. If you feel happy and kind most of the time, you have a good hang at it. If you would like some improvement, an easy place to start is paying attention to how you are responding with your own thoughts and interacting with others. Are you critical and self judging mostly? Do you get angry or resentful quick? These questions help point you to which wolf you are feeding most often.
Slowing down to be more mindful of your conversation with yourself and how patient and kind you are with others can help you empower your choices in the wolf you feed. When you’d like to experience more joy, peace, and kindness, we need to daily feed the wolf in ourselves and reflect that to others. That is how we shift our energy. A little at a time each day fosters more of what we wish to experience. You do breed what you feed.
I’ve learned to be very careful of where I focus my attention daily. It has helped me tremendously with my wolves. I am careful not to bombard my brain with too much negative news, drama, and complaints. You have the power to steer away from that kind of energy. Maybe not always, but I dominantly do so. And I believe if I can, you certainly can also. I generally start my day as positive as I can, and feed my brain with inspiration. Whether it be reading, writing, or listening to a YouTube of something that inspires me, It fills me before I leave my home and enables me to be kinder to others. I use a lot of snip its along the way each day.
You of course have to find small ways that work for you and are applicable, but be mindful of how you start your day and little things you can do to improve the thoughts and feelings you feed your wolves. Before responding, think to yourself what your feeding. It can just start with simple awarness. You can extend it to random acts of kindness each day. Encourage others rather than looking for their faults. We all have them and we can be kinder by looking for and pointing out the beauty and good in others over criticism. Think of it as a mirror. What would you like people to reflect back to you?
You do have control over the wolf. If you feel otherwise, you have just given too much of your power away. That is where starting by being mindful helps you regroup. And be patient with yourself. You can turn it around and shift the momentum. You have that choice daily. And it builds and it grows. Feed that wolf inside with more kindness, joy, and love. See if it in turn (over time), you receive the same.
